SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We have recently revised our submission policy. Please read the following carefully before you consider submitting work:
Neither Billy Shire Fine Arts nor La Luz de Jesus Gallery is adding new artists at this time. However, we do review submissions seasonally for inclusion in our annual group show.
If you wish to submit work for consideration, you must follow the guidelines below. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered.
We showcase mainly figurative, narrative paintings and unusual sculpture. Our focus is not abstract expressionism and we are not accepting submissions of video or digital art, photography, or conceptual installations.
Also, please be aware that because of the large volume of unsolicited submissions we receive, we cannot, and will not, personally respond or offer you a review of your materials.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE SENT VIA EMAIL
Artists may submit 5-10 low resolution jpegs
(72 dpi, 500 pixels high)
File names must be saved in this format:
LastName_500_Title.jpg
Indicate within the body of the email the following info for each work:
Your Name
"The Title"
Medium (Oil on canvas, etc)
Dimension Width" x Height" (x Depth" -if applicable)
Framed dimension Width" x Height" (x "Depth)
$Retail.Price
Do not include that info as an attachment, but within the body of the email. Also include your complete contact information (Your name, mailing address, phone number, email and website address). These submissions may be sent to: info@laluzdejesus.com with "Group Show Submission" in the subject line. It is not necessary to send a follow up email. We will get in touch with you only if we are interested. Email submissions that do not follow this format will not be reviewed.
DO NOT send originals or slides - they will not be returned under ANY circumstances. Additionally, we are not responsible for any lost items, obliged to return materials or respond to your inquiry.
